Teddy bears are usually measured standing and sitting and both measurements are displayed in their detailed description.
Standing - Measured from head to toe.
Sitting - Measured from head to bottom.
The standing measurement is only taken if the teddy bear's legs can be stretched out. If its legs cannot be stretched out only a sitting measurement will be shown (see photo below).
A soft toy such as a dog or a cat is measured from nose to bottom, excluding ears and tail. The toy is placed on its side and then measured (see photo below).
